Women Building Rwanda

Rwanda’s development story is often told through statistics and policy achievements, including its world-leading representation of women in parliament and leadership positions. This project turns the lens toward another group of women shaping the country’s future: those working on construction sites, carrying materials, laying bricks, and contributing to the rapid transformation of the nation. Through these portraits, I wanted to highlight their strength, resilience, and often-overlooked role in building modern Rwanda.
